The target audience for my music video is the age of 18-30. The band and the song targets the adult genre, so this means the video will be relevant towards this generation. I feel the video will be relevant because during this age, a lot of relationships start to take place and also a lot break ups take place so I feel they can relate to this. I feel my video will go with the song of my choice, which means people can relate to both the video and the song which will work together.
The song is about a couple in a relationship; potentially going through a break up. I feel the lyrics are very deep and thought provoking which gives the audience a feel for what the main singer is going through. Throughout the song, the lyrics indicate that relationship is indeed for the age category of 18-30. The lyrics go on to say "For someone that who has a car" this indicates that the age category is between 18-30.
The first line of main chorus is "So what's your problem that white straight line" this line is a play on words. The line is basically saying 'you must be on drugs' because everything I say does not make sense, this backs up this idea that the song is reaching the age category of 18-30.
The main idea for this video, is the main character is drinking heavily because he and his girl friend have broken up or in fact going through a brake up.The character in the video is wearing a suit but drinking a bottle of alcohol, this plays the opposite card, you wouldn't expect these to go hand in hand. As going through a brake up is very hard and stressful, people sometimes resort to drink due to the stress of the hard times. Through my video, by doing this, i'm hoping to express the anger, the sadness and the heartbreak this man is going through and gripping my audience in doing so.
